This is because like many fields in the arts, it may seem effortlessly easy but it is not. it also involves hard work and if you do not love what you are doing, you will not be able to stay on the job.

2. Can you see yourself in the field long term?
If you can imagine yourself in the field for the rest of your life and could not imagine doing anything else, then it is the one for you. You can be doing photography every minute of the day and still not be bored with it is a sign that you are cut out for the craft. Seeing yourself long term in the field will also mean that you are capable of sticking it out for the long haul, good or bad.

3. Can it pay for your financial needs?
Photography does not pay well. Unless of course you are a high fashion photographer for magazines and advertising campaigns. Then, you can be earning a lot for maybe a days work. If you need the money, this is not for you. If you have savings or other sources of income, you can consider this.
